Today I got a letter in the mail from Joseph K. Knollenberg. This name is probably not familiar to you, but he is our state representative (the state being Michigan). This letter was in reply to one I sent him regarding the increase in royalty rates towards internet radio broadcasters. This increase in rates will essentially shut down internet radio. There is hope however. In response to this increase in royalty rates, the Internet Radio Equality Act was introduced. My friend Joseph informs me that this bill “has been referred to the House Judiciary Committee and the House Energy and Commerce Committee.” Now to my point.
