Kenneth Foster Free!
For those who don’t know, Kenneth Foster was a man given the death sentence for a murder, even the courts agree he did not commit. In Texas you can be given the death sentence for merely being an “accomplice” of a murder, which the courts decided Kenneth was. What happened was, Kenneth was driving a friend of his, and in short, his friend ended up getting out of the car and killing someone. Kenneth was not aware that his friend was going to commit the murder, and was merely giving him a ride. The courts still considered him as an accomplice and gave him the death sentence. Well today, our justice system comes through. Tonight, the night scheduled for his execution, he governor of Texas agreed to commute his death sentence.
